Finally this is it, we have a date: Fotolog closes definitely. The first great social network reached 32 millions of users who uploaded about 200 millions of images, but they haven’t managed to grow old with the success of their competitors in this constant-changing digital world.
And which is the chosen closing date? 20th February 2016.
If you enter into Fotolog’s website today, you’ll see a huge banner with red letters announcing it in three languages:
“Dear members, the Fotolog platform could be permanently unavaulable in the upcoming weeks.
We wanted to inform you of this matter, as hosting provider, so you can retrieve your data as quickly as possible and in any event before February the 20th of 2016.
We hope you can continue your blogs and your photos sharing on other platforms.
Do not hesitate to share this information with all other members of the community.“
A few days ago some pictures had started dissapearing, so I made a post in which I explained how to recover them, but seeing this announcement, it seems that the whole file is available again.
Hurry up, you only have a few days!
